Why reaching out to us is okay

We understand. Speaking up about your problems is a hard decision to make. But we assure you that this is a safe space where you will not be judged at all. Anything that’s bothering you is okay to talk about. There’s no problem that’s too big or too small.

Few things you can talk to us about:

  • Dealing with loneliness- being away from your friends for so long can certainly get draining 

  • Academic uncertainty- with many exams postponed, or being held online or even struggling with online classes, we understand that studying can be especially hard right now, talk to us about it.

  • Being stuck with an unsupportive family- If you’re a member of the lgbtq+ community and are quarantined with unsupportive parents, we understand how hard it can be. Feel free to reach out:) We’ll listen. 

  • Living in an abusive household- if you’re dealing with issues at home, we acknowledge that it is probably taking an even greater toll on you at this time. Feel free to reach out. We’ll listen. 

  • increasing levels of anxiety- going through something as unpredictable as our current situation is certainly bad for anxiety. Feel free to reach out, and we’ll help you feel calmer. 

  • Cancelled plans- You’ve probably been told to not feel sorry about missing your prom or a vacation when there are people dying. But the truth is, all feelings are valid. You’re allowed to feel bad about the ways in which your life has been affected, even if they seem small. Feel free to reach out. 

  • ANYTHING else that’s on your mind!! These are just a few examples, but if there’s something bothering you, it’s worth talking about.
