Quarantine of the Fittest

As we get farther along into this quarantine, we may be feeling anxious, bored, and restless. While being locked inside our homes we may feel like a bunch of overpampered prisoners, but quarantine cannot stop us from staying healthy and fit as we planned to be this summer. We can still get our summer body ready before the lockdown ends. To do so we must keep a few tips in our mind. Here are 4 of the most important points to keep ourselves fit during quarantine

1. Making a Routine

It is very important for us to have a schedule or a timetable for the day. It can start right from the kitchen. Keep time slots for everything you do, starting from the morning. Start the day by eating something healthy. Many of you have online classes so a lot of time goes into attending them, for those of you who don’t, since there is no domestic help, clean your homes, or mop the floor. Play some video games with friends, watch Netflix, play board games with family, and fix up a time for daily exercises. I promise the day will turn out to be fun

2. Eating Habits

We should be careful about our eating habits. Many people (like me) tend to eat a lot of food when they are bored because eating is one of the favorite pass time one could have. But this does not mean that we start to gobble up a lot of food as we mustn’t forget about our summer body. Eating healthy food like fruits (watermelons, melons, bananas, oranges), vegetables (spinach, broccoli, capsicums, cauliflower, cabbage), oats, and cereal, etc will keep us away from the unwanted fat and provide us with the energy we need.

3. Increase Fluid Intake

Drinking plenty of water is important to keep you well hydrated and boost your metabolism to flush out the toxins. Green tea, ginger honey tea, lemon tea, and other homemade teas provide us with the necessary vitamins A, C, D, and Zinc will make our immune system healthy.

4. Move Your Body

Keeping your body moving and exercising is important for every single one of us, it will help us physically, mentally, and emotionally. Having a good workout plan will help us reduce stress. Every day for at least 40 minutes everyone should workout in their homes or in their garden/lawn. It could be as simple as jumping jacks, lunges, knee taps, or some stretches. For those who look for more exciting workouts, one should turn on the music, maybe some DJ Snake or Twenty One Pilots, and get ready for some planks, push-ups, crunches, leg raises, squats, and if you are lucky enough to have stairs at your home, do at least ten rounds of them ( up and down)

Being physically well help you stay fresh, active, and happy during quarantine and also because we need to keep our summer body ready
